Destination Introduction – The Premier Folk Tourism Village in the Suburbs 　

Mayufang Village has been vigorously developing folk tourism since 1998. In 2002, the unveiling ceremony for the first batch of “Folk Tourism Reception Households” organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Tourism was held right here in Mayufang Village. Since then, it has been hailed by multiple media outlets in Beijing as the “Premier Folk Tourism Village in the Suburbs.”

First Digital Folk Village

On December 29, 2005, Beijing’s first “Digital Folk Village” was officially launched in Mayufang Folk Village.

Before your trip, you can access detailed information about each reception household on the Mayufang website to help you choose. Once you arrive in the village, you can use the farmhouse computers to browse the internet for free. If you bring your own laptop with wireless internet support, simply enter Mayufang Folk Village and connect to the wireless network without any setup — you’ll be able to browse web pages, send and receive emails, work online, and more. Additionally, you can log in to the village's video-on-demand system to watch movies, TV series, cartoons, etc., or use the local area network to play online games with friends. Number of Rooms: 300 Special Note: Selected as a CCTV 2006 “Charming Village” Finalist

Recently, the list of villages shortlisted for the CCTV 2006 “Charming Village” promotional selection event was announced. Out of over 400 applicants nationwide, 44 villages made the final list, with Mayufang Village among them. Centered around the goals of production development, affluent living, civilized rural culture, tidy village appearance, and democratic management, the village has achieved remarkable success in rural tourism and new countryside construction, becoming one of only three “Charming Villages” in Beijing — alongside Zhenggezhuang and Xiangtang Villages.

This year marks the kickoff of the national “11th Five-Year Plan” construction period, the beginning of the construction of a new socialist countryside, and also the “Year of Chinese Rural Tourism” designated by the National Tourism Administration. Beijing TV’s “Beijing News” program, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Rural Work Committee, Beijing Municipal Agriculture Commission, and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Tourism, proudly launched the “100-Year Niulanshan” campaign to find the most beautiful villages in Beijing.

The voting for this event has now concluded. With its unique and rich rural folk characteristics, Mayufang Village won enthusiastic support from netizens and was successfully selected as one of the top ten “Most Beautiful Villages in Beijing.” The awards ceremony for this event is currently in intensive preparation.

Scenic Area Transportation: From downtown, take bus lines 345 Branch, 345, 845, or 919 from Deshengmen to Changping South Street, then transfer to Changping Line 5 (heading toward Dujiuyu) to reach the destination directly; 　

By car: Exit at Exit 13C of the Beijing-Changping Badaling Expressway, take the third exit at Changping West Pass Roundabout (heading toward the Ming Tombs), and follow the signs (from Huzhuang Intersection toward the Changling and Dingling areas) to arrive. Dining
