Guayan Cliff Inscriptions

The Guayan Cliff Inscriptions are a cultural relic protection unit of Yueqing City.

The Guayan Cliff Inscriptions are located on Huananshan Mountain in Qiaodi Village, Danxi Town, Yueqing City. The two characters “桂岩” (Guayan) are written in regular script, each measuring 0.80 meters in height and 0.70 meters in width. According to the Guangxu-era Annals of Yueqing County: “These two characters ‘Guayan’ are inscribed on the huge rock of Guiyu on Huananshan Mountain, and were written by Wang Shipeng.”

Danxi Town: Danxi Town is 12 kilometers from the center of Yueqing City, covering a total land area of 44.2 square kilometers with a population of 25,000. It serves as the city’s base for cultivating high-quality grain and fruit varieties, as well as an aquaculture production base.

The production of Huangtang high-quality citrus and Youchuan giant loquats has reached a significant scale. Large-scale intercropping bases of bayberry (high-quality yangmei) are about to go into production, while kiwi and chestnut bases are under construction. Commercial fruits are sold to more than ten provinces across China and are also exported to various countries in Southeast Asia.
