Tomb of Zhang Xuan Ying

The Tomb of Zhang Xuan Ying is a cultural relic protection unit of Yueqing City.

The Tomb of Zhang Xuan Ying is located at the southern foot of Mayu Mountain in Nange Village, Xianxi Town, Yueqing City. Built against the mountain and facing south, it covers an area of 754 square meters. In front of the tomb stands a spirit way stele, divided into five terraces. On both sides of the tomb path are pairs of stone statues including officials, horses, tigers, and sheep.

Zhang Xuan Ying (1443–1511), courtesy name Shunde, was a successful candidate in the imperial examination during the 11th year of the Ming Chenghua reign (1475) and rose through the ranks to become Governor of Guangdong.

Nange Village: With a history of over a thousand years, Nange is a settlement of the Zhang clan and the hometown of the upright Ming Dynasty official Zhang Lun. It preserves historic structures such as memorial archways, the former residence of the Minister, Duzhong Hall, and various tombs. In 2001, it was listed as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Nange, situated in the northern part of Yandang Mountain, gets its name from being directly opposite Beige. It consists of three administrative villages: Shangjie, Xiajie, and Guomuchang. To the west lies Xianshengmen, to the south stands Phoenix Mountain, and to the north flows Nange Stream, surrounded by lush mountains, towering peaks, and majestic rivers.
