Faxiang Ridge Plank Walkway

The Faxiang Ridge Plank Walkway is a cultural relic protection unit of Yueqing City.

The Faxiang Ridge Plank Walkway is located in Jukeng’an Village, Yanhu Town, Yueqing City. Faxiang Ridge, commonly known as Changshe Ridge, was an ancient route connecting the northwest of Yueqing to Yongjia. The walkway stretches 124 meters in total, though only 50 meters remain today, with a width of 1–1.7 meters. The pathway is supported by beams and pillars, all built from strip stones. It features mortise-and-tenon joints and is reinforced with cast iron. Along the path is a cliff inscription reading: “Built by Lin Yigong’s son Qianheng on Faxiang Ridge,” a total of ten characters. According to the local *Lin Family Genealogy*, the ridge and the plank walkway were constructed by the wealthy Lin Qianheng during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1628–1644).
