Xiaoqunshan Site

The Xiaoqunshan Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Yueqing City.

The Xiaoqunshan Site is located on Xiaoqunshan in Shibei Town, Yueqing City. The site covers an area of 300 square meters. The artifacts mainly consist of stone arrowheads and stamped hard pottery. The stamped hard pottery is hard in texture, with a grayish-black surface, and features stamped patterns such as basket weave, grid, herringbone, and mat designs. Identifiable items include jars and cauldrons. In 1970, cultural relics officials discovered a complete piece of stamped hard pottery jar during a survey — it had a gray body, was hand-made, featured a concave round base, and displayed basket weave patterns of varying depths on its surface. The site is believed to date back to the Shang Dynasty.
