Jinzizhifeng Forest Park is located 17 kilometers from Qingyuan County and covers a total area of 5,751.8 hectares. The park lies in the central core area between the two cross-provincial national scenic spots of Wuyi Mountain in Fujian and Yandang Mountain in Zhejiang. It boasts the 1,561-meter-high Jinzizhifeng Peak, which offers views across two provinces and three counties, as well as one of Lishui’s Top Ten Canyons — “Qiangang Gorge,” the renowned “Bamboo Sea in Southern Zhejiang,” and the “Natural Oxygen Bar” without equal. The area also features abundant natural resources and superior ecological conditions, making it one of Zhejiang Province’s most outstanding newly developed eco-tourism destinations.

The forest coverage within the park reaches as high as 98%. There are 264 species of woody plants across 156 genera and 69 families, including first-class nationally rare and endangered species such as Bretschneidera sinensis and the southern yew. The dense forests and complex terrain have created diverse ecological environments, attracting a variety of wildlife. The park is home to 37 species of major birds and mammals across 27 families and 17 orders, including first-class nationally protected animals such as the Mrs. Hume's pheasant, the yellow-bellied tragopan, the clouded leopard, and the black muntjac.

The park’s resources are distinctive, with lush and verdant forest vegetation, stunning valleys, gullies, waterfalls, and pools, as well as steep and majestic peaks and cliffs, forming a series of picturesque and captivating scenes. It is characterized by “seclusion, elegance, grandeur, wonder, and antiquity.” In the Jinzizhifeng scenic area, ancient trees reach the sky, forests are vast, and mountain peaks undulate continuously. The ridges, cliffs, and valleys are imposing, while the twin peaks resemble two towering divine halberds piercing the clouds, standing majestically. The Longyuan Pool scenic area has numerous valleys and crisscrossing streams, with mountain creeks flowing year-round, cascading down playfully, creating ever-changing views that captivate visitors. The northern section of Shandaixi features steep terrain, with an 11-tiered waterfall of varying drops, resembling coiling dragons and straight-falling rainbows, each posture uniquely beautiful and extraordinarily splendid. In addition, steep cliffs and deep pools are scattered throughout, adding further charm.

Jinzizhifeng Forest Park is a suburban mountain-type leisure tourism destination integrating ecological sightseeing, summer retreats, vacation wellness, and science education. With the opening of the “Lishui-Longquan-Qingyuan” Expressway, its geographical advantages have become even more prominent. Jinzizhifeng Forest Park is set to become a green jewel on the tourism route of southwestern Zhejiang and northwestern Fujian.
