I made yellow duck-shaped tangyuan with sweet potato filling during the Winter Solstice, never expecting it to cause an unexpectedly huge sensation. Yellow duck-shaped tangyuan.

Seeing everyone enjoy the shaped tangyuan I made with my own hands filled my heart with joy that words alone cannot describe.
To celebrate the important Lantern Festival, I’ve prepared some uniquely shaped tangyuan — all in the hope of seeing everyone’s happy smiles again.
Most importantly... I’ll also get compliments from everyone ((ha~ that’s really my goal)).

Since the yellow duck-shaped glutinous rice balls were very well received, it’s only natural to bring them out again during the Lantern Festival to liven up the atmosphere.
Wrap the filling you want to eat—20g glutinous rice flour, 10g filling ((whatever you like!! Even cookies, vegetables… anything you enjoy eating is fine))
The whole plate of golden ya-ya has a main color that shines brilliantly; even if you boil it and eat it just like this, it still looks very auspicious.
The most labor-intensive part is the purely manual work — it can't be rushed, nor can it be done hastily, involving both the mouth and the eyes.
Don't underestimate these steps—they may seem easy, but I spent an hour just filling the filling for 30 tangyuan (sweet rice balls), and over an hour shaping them...
People who don’t believe it are welcome to join in making yuanxiao (sweet rice balls). If you find a method that makes them both beautiful and quick to make, please share it with me!!!

If you don’t want to cook too much at once after everything is ready or want to share with close friends and family
You can freeze them until they become completely solid (just kidding...) and then pack them into nice bags
(Actually, I couldn’t find a container for the duck-shaped rice balls, but I found this self-adhesive bag instead, wow~ it looks really nice when packaged…)
Here comes the highlight!!! For the Winter Solstice, there were cat-paw-shaped glutinous rice balls and yellow duckling glutinous rice balls to celebrate my birthday….
((Can I not have it?)
The Lantern Festival is also a major holiday to celebrate with your beloved family. Fishie made dumplings in various shapes to add a festive touch.
((The image of my child has been blurred to protect their privacy.))
Hahaha~~~ Actually, it's because those two look more like monsters!!! These little devils…….
Also, what kind of weather is this???? The big devil actually made me wear short sleeves… Do all kids these days do this???
To celebrate the Lantern Festival, I made a green-eyed big guy and a blue furry monster, but only half succeeded.
Because the big-eyed guy turned out super cute—even I was melted by how adorable he was ((squeal~)), while this furry monster didn’t resemble anything at all…
Auntie put her all into making shaped dumplings, and the little devils and their mommy weren’t to be outdone, making eggplants, carrots, and oranges…
This is the plate… It actually looks pretty good!!! At least they had a lot of fun.

In my heart, the big-eyed guy is just as cute as the yellow duck.
The blue furry monster that made Fishie want to cry…
I asked the big devil to help Auntie Fish and me specially make some joyful dumplings for their Lantern Festival celebration.
((How come the moment I bit into the big-eyed guy, I felt a twinge of reluctance?? My big-eyed guy is going to be eaten~”~))
Unlike the yellow duckling, the filling inside is red bean paste!!! Red and green… delicious and pretty.
Thin skin, lots of filling, great taste, and a chewy texture… Awesome ((thumbs up))
Finally, adding one more set of [Abundance Year After Year] dumplings.
This was something the sister saw someone else’s creation, reposted it to me, and I got inspired to try copying it on a whim.
But my skills are still way behind theirs… For the super amazing masterpieces, please click the link directly: Bao Ma’s Kitchen

Other people’s look full of wealth, prosperity, and the feeling of “abundance year after year,” why does mine look like tadpoles!!!!!!
This one is even more extreme… someone even said it looks like Ponyo.
