Actually, this photo was taken by Mr. Huang Yisheng, a teacher at Yuanpei University of Science and Technology. Around noon that day, he witnessed this touching scene. The two were not related, but the Taiwan Railways female service staff member sat down and personally fed the elderly man. They laughed and chatted together. Deeply moved, Mr. Huang immediately took out his phone to capture the moment and uploaded it to Facebook, hoping that such a good deed could bring some positive energy to society. DJ Jerry from the Hualien branch of the Traffic Radio also shared this photo on his fan page. Within just one day, the post received over 80,000 likes and an enthusiastic response. Netizens unanimously praised Zheng Shujun’s kindness, saying things like “The service staff is like an angel,” “A beautiful heart makes a beautiful person,” and “We need more positive news like this”......

After the story came to light, Ms. Zheng Shujun said that the elderly man, who is about 70 years old, often takes the train and that she had helped him get on and off the train before. The man has no hands below his elbows and uses his incomplete arms to carry a basket of magnolia flowers, making a living by selling them.
That day, while selling lunchboxes on the train, the elderly man voluntarily said he wanted to buy one and asked Ms. Zheng if she could feed him. She was hesitant at first because she had never fed a passenger before. But considering that the elderly man kept saying he was very hungry, and that most of the lunchboxes had already been sold, she decided to help.

She was also surprised to hear that someone had taken a photo of her feeding the elderly man and humbly insisted that it was nothing special. Taiwan Railways’ public relations department also revealed on Facebook that Ms. Zheng not only actively cares for passengers and provides assistance, but is also full of compassion. Taiwan Railways will publicly commend her and offer tangible encouragement.
