Admiring lanterns and eating dumplings is a unique tradition among the Chinese. Sheraton Taipei Hotel’s Qiekou Restaurant has launched four creative dumpling flavors, with the highlight being a brand-new savory option—pork and morel mushroom dumplings. The outer skin is handmade from chewy glutinous rice flour, and the filling consists of minced pork belly mixed evenly with the precious morel mushrooms. Sweet options include brown sugar peanut dumplings, osmanthus mung bean paste dumplings, and sweet wine sesame dumplings.
