Songxi Ancient Village is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Songxi Ancient Village is located in Baima Town, Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. The ancient village retains its pristine natural state, with most houses featuring black tiles and white walls, constructed from wood and stone. The area showcases rich historical and cultural heritage in many places. The villagers are simple, kind, and hospitable, and the village has almost no commercial atmosphere. Strolling along the small paths in the village and listening to the sound of the stream flowing through it brings a unique sense of tranquility.

Under the bright sunshine and clear sky, Songxi Ancient Village feels mysterious and peaceful. There is no entrance fee, no red lanterns hanging, and no signs of commerce, promotion, or hawking—just sunlight, blue skies, ancient trees, old houses, and the simple, serene, and friendly faces of the locals. It has a painting-like feel, making it perfect for a quiet getaway. Truly beautiful!

Songxi Ancient Village is nestled against mountains and beside water, exuding an antique charm with a well-preserved form. It features a wide variety of architectural styles and a well-maintained layout of water systems and streets. The village boasts over 40 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, totaling more than 1,560 rooms, as well as numerous ancestral halls, residences, bridges, temples, ancient wells, and opera stages.

Songxi Ancient Village has a long history and profound cultural heritage. It is home to the “Songxi Poetry Society” and the “Songxi Academic Society.” Villagers often gather to discuss poetry, calligraphy, and painting, and hold exhibitions of their works.

Songxi Ancient Village has earned national-level honors such as National Ecological Culture Village, First Batch of Traditional Chinese Villages, China's Famous Historical and Cultural Village, and China Landscape Village. Currently, the village has built 18 homestays, the Kangxizhai Makerspace Base, a coffee bar, a bookstore, the Huating Conference Center, and the Bazitai Men Opera Restaurant, among other tourism facilities. It has successfully hosted large-scale events such as the “Seventh Season: Overseas Elite Students Explore Ancient Villages in Jinhua,” the “Splendors of Wu Culture” Jinhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Performance, and the “Million People Tour.”
