The Wuyi Divine Ox Valley Rafting course spans approximately 3 kilometers. This section of the river boasts abundant water flow and crystal-clear, unpolluted water. With moderate drops, it features about 20 calm sections and 20 rapid sections each—calm stretches offer leisurely drifting, while fast sections deliver thrilling yet safe excitement. Lining the rafting area are dense forests, towering peculiar rocks, and a thriving population of wild game and birds, presenting an untouched, pristine landscape. The river flows down the mountain slopes, twisting and turning through serene paths that evoke the feeling of “lost in a mountain valley only to emerge into a bright village”—its scenery is extraordinarily unique. This is a rare natural rafting site in our province that combines Western and Chinese restaurants, foot baths, chess and card games, sandy swimming areas, and beach volleyball. Due to well-preserved vegetation, the area plays an excellent role in water conservation and purification, making this rafting section a natural, pristine bathing spot and contributing to its uniquely picturesque landscape and regional characteristics. The rafting area is bordered by dense forests and rugged rock formations, offering strikingly beautiful scenery. Calm sections allow for a relaxing float, while rapid sections bring thrilling yet safe excitement. The lush riverside forests, rocky landscapes, and meandering waters create a pleasant environment. Plans are underway to develop the Niutou Mountain National Forest Park into a comprehensive national AAAA-level scenic area over the next 1–2 years, integrating leisure, entertainment, sightseeing, summer retreats, and vacationing. It aims to become the true “No. 1 Rafting Destination in Central Zhejiang.” Divine Ox Valley Rafting will officially open to the public on July 10, 2010. Divine Ox Valley Rafting stands apart from other rafting spots due to its purity and natural beauty. Because it has been developed for only a short time with minimal human alteration, every mountain, body of water, and tree you see is entirely natural. The rafting uses high-strength rubber rafts, each accommodating two people. A normal rafting trip lasts around three hours. Due to the winding canyon, the water flow alternates between calm and rapid—when slow, it resembles a tranquil lake surface where paddling is required to move forward, causing the rubber raft to bob up and down. Light bumps may soak you completely, while heavier ones might even throw you into the water, adding a variety of fun. In the shallow areas of Divine Ox Valley, the water just covers your feet. At these spots, raft passengers can splash each other using basins or scoops for some playful fun—an activity that excites visitors of all ages. The valley’s banks feature rolling hills with gentle slopes, covered in lush green trees. Alongside the fresh mountain air and bright sunlight, you may also catch glimpses of mountain streams and waterfalls—making it a perfect place for city dwellers to unwind and escape their stressful routines.
