The Screen Wall of the Shangshu Mansion is a cultural relic protection unit of Jinhua City.

The Screen Wall of the Shangshu Mansion is located behind the Caichang at No. 16-1, Shumiyuan, Dayuan Village, Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

In June 2010, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit, with the announcement document number being Yizheng Fa [2010] No. 52, dated June 2010.

Dayuan Village: Introduction to Dayuan Village

Dayuan Village is located in the eastern part of Yiwu City, at the southern corner of the Yongjin Expressway and Provincial Highway 37. It consists of 23 villager groups, with 1,100 households and a total population of over 2,700, making it the largest village in Jiangdong Subdistrict, Yiwu City.

In the year 1064 AD, the founding ancestor Wu Zao served as the chief clerk of Yiwu and settled at the southern foot of Wusun Mountain. As the eldest son, he was referred to as “Da” (meaning “big”), and “Yuan” means “first,” hence the name Dayuan. Later, Wu Zao became the Minister of the Shumiyuan (Privy Council) and built the “Shumiyuan Official Residence” in 1099 AD.
