The 7th China Yiwu International Forest Products Expo (short for: Yiwu Forest Products Expo) is a grand event where renowned Chinese forestry enterprises gather, showcasing the essence of China’s forest products and the latest achievements in the development of China’s forestry industry. It serves as a crucial trade, cooperation, and information platform for Chinese forest products to reach the world. The expo was held grandly from November 1 to 4, 2014, at the Yiwu International Expo Center.
The Yiwu Forest Products Expo is one of the four major expos in Yiwu. It is jointly sponsored by the State Forestry Administration and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, and organized by the China National Forest Industry Council, Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Department, Taiwan Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, and Yiwu Municipal People’s Government. Co-organizers include the China National Forest Product Industry Association, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, Taiwan Trade Center, UNIDO South-South Cooperation Centre, International Network for Bamboo and Rattan, forestry departments (bureaus) and forestry industry groups from provinces (cities, districts) across China, forestry industrial groups, municipal governments of Zhejiang Province, and Zhejiang Forestry Industry Association.
The floral and horticulture exhibition area at this Yiwu Forest Products Expo consists of 113 booths participated in by 68 companies. Featuring flowers such as Aoyang Yuntian Colorful Osmanthus, Putuo Orchids, Southern Yew, Azaleas, Phalaenopsis, Anthurium, Bromeliad Paphiopedilum, Begonia... There is a wide variety of blooms, with richly colorful petals, elegant shapes, graceful postures, and long-lasting fragrance, immersing you in an ocean of flowers. Ornamental plants such as potted seedlings and tree stump potted landscapes are a feast for the eyes, making it hard to tear yourself away. The variety of flower species, vibrant colors, elegant forms, graceful postures, and lingering fragrances leave a lasting impression.
There are many participating brand enterprises, such as Jiangsu Taxus chinensis Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a biopharmaceutical company formed through cross-industry development by the nationwide private top 50 enterprise —— Hongdou Group. Its main product, the Taxus chinensis, is a naturally rare anti-cancer plant recognized worldwide and considered to be on the verge of extinction since the fourth glacial period. Also present is Yongjia Yuanye Landscape Engineering Co., Ltd., a national first-class landscaping enterprise that advocates low-carbon concepts and upholds green development as its corporate mission. The company has undertaken over 120 large-scale landscaping projects, including the Wenzhou Zhongrui "Manhattan West District Landscape Greening Project," which created China's first low-carbon residential community. Their story was featured on CCTV’s "Focus Interview" program, earning them a strong reputation in society. Additionally, Deqing Green Sunshine Agricultural Ecology Co., Ltd., a key forestry enterprise in Zhejiang Province, is a green tech company invested in and established with international industrial capital and development concepts, specializing in modern high-efficiency ecological agriculture. The company’s exhibition features a variety of new flower varieties and cutting-edge garden designs, including fruit seedlings, floral potted plants, foliage plants, seeds and bulbs, and horticultural materials, attracting numerous gardening enthusiasts and professionals.
