Feiying Park

Feiying Park is named after the Feiying Pagoda. It was first built in 1996 and officially opened to the public on February 1, 1997.

The entire park covers an area of nearly 3 hectares and cost 34 million yuan to construct. In addition to the national cultural heritage site, the Feiying Pagoda, the park also houses a collection of precious historic relics from various dynasties in Huzhou.

These include the Yunhai Tower, where Yan Zhenqing, a famous calligrapher and prefect of Huzhou during the Tang Dynasty, compiled the literary work “Yunhai Jingyuan”; the Miao Miao Pavilion, originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty; a memorial archway inscribed with the origin of the name “Feiying Pagoda”; the Liuke Hall, where literati and officials such as Su Dongpo, Zhang Xian, Chen Shunyu, Yang Hui, Li Chang, and Liu Shu once gathered to compose poetry and enjoy tea; as well as sites related to the name of Wuxing, such as the Xiting and Xixi Pavilion.
