Jinfeng Pagoda

Jinfeng Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.

Jinfeng Pagoda is located on Donglin Mountain in Donglin Township, Linghu Town, Huzhou City. "Jinfeng" means "Golden Peak," referring to Donglin Mountain, and the pagoda is named after the mountain. It was first built during the Xuanhe era of the Song Dynasty (1119–1125), rebuilt after being struck by lightning and fire during the Qingyuan and Kaixi eras (1195–1207), renovated in the eighth year of the Xianchun era (1272), and reconstructed twice during the Yongle and Jiajing eras of the Ming Dynasty. It was burned down again in the fifth year of the Longqing era (1571) and rebuilt as a brick pagoda in the tenth year of the Wanli era (1582).

In 1980, the Wu Xing County People's Government allocated funds for its restoration. The pagoda is a solid brick structure in the style of a wooden pavilion tower, with six sides and seven stories, standing 17.7 meters tall. Its eaves are built with interlocking bricks forming a dentilated pattern, topped with barrel tiles. The second, third, and fourth stories of the outer walls feature brick carvings of the Golden Kui Star, which are Ming Dynasty works. In August 1984, the Huzhou Municipal People's Government designated Jinfeng Pagoda as a cultural relic protection unit.
