Mao Pengshan Kiln Site Cluster

The Mao Pengshan Kiln Site Cluster is a cultural heritage protection unit of Huzhou City.

The Mao Pengshan Kiln Site Cluster is located on the northwest slope of Mao Pengshan Mountain, east of Geng Village in Daochang Village, Kangshan Subdistrict, Wuxing District. It dates back to the Eastern Han to the Three Kingdoms period and is classified as an ancient kiln site.

In March 1998, the Mao Pengshan Kiln Site Cluster was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Daochang Village: Located 3 kilometers south of downtown Huzhou, Daochang Village in Kangshan Subdistrict covers an area of 7.8 square kilometers, stretching 8.1 kilometers from east to west and 9.6 kilometers from north to south. The village features both mountains and water. To the east, it neighbors Chengnan Village Committee of Daochang Township, and borders Shuangtang Village of Kangshan Subdistrict to the north. The Miaohu Waterway runs through the entire village. The southern part is mountainous, with the highest peak of Daochang Mountain reaching an elevation of 360 meters. The village administers 12 natural villages, 13 villager groups, has 683 households, and a population of 2,461. The village Party branch currently has 107 Party members.
