Wuxing Xishan Site

The Wuxing Xishan Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Huzhou City.

The Wuxing Xishan Site is located in Xishan Village, Balidian Town, Wuxing District. It dates back to the Neolithic Age through the Zhou Dynasty and is classified as an ancient site.

In November 2015, the Wuxing Xishan Site was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Xishan Village: Located in the suburban fringe of the eastern new district of Wuxing District, Xishan Village comprises nine villager groups, with 326 households and a total population of 821, including 36 Communist Party members. The village covers an administrative area of 1.5 square kilometers, including 605 mu of arable land and 300 mu of mountainous terrain. From 1979 to 1999, most residents of Xishan made a living through mining. Today, due to development needs, many homes and farmlands have been expropriated, and residents have relocated to Qiancun Community and Xishan Community.
