The Suzhou Youth Science and Technology Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a science education base.

The Youth Science and Culture Activity Center is located at the intersection of Zhongshan South Road and Sports Road in Wujiang District, covering an area of 30,300 square meters with a construction area of 23,000 square meters. The total investment is about 120 million yuan. It is divided into a science popularization exhibition area, a cultural and art training area, a large-scale events and academic conference area, and an office service area. A highlight of the activity center is that it combines two museums into one.

The total investment in equipment within the Science and Technology Museum is approximately 20 million yuan, with 85% of the exhibits being interactive—the highest proportion among science and technology museums nationwide. It integrates science, knowledge, and fun, vividly showcasing classic scientific principles and technological applications. The activity area is divided into five sections: the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, the Observatory, the Digital Dome Theater, the 4D Dynamic Theater, and the Children's Playground. There are also outdoor areas such as the Young Pioneers Square and the National Defense Education Park.

The over 140 science and technology exhibits, known for their high-tech content, high interactivity, and high entertainment value, captivate young people’s interest and effectively promote the spread of scientific knowledge among youth. Among these, eight exhibits are considered the museum’s treasures: the Giant Spherical Clock, the Luminous Harp, the Dynamic Space Journey, the Speed Radar, the Mineral Genesis, the Magic Book – The Eight Planets, Lightning and Thunder, and the Möbius Strip. In addition, there are robot bands with leading domestic technology, 64-channel holographic sound, the Shenzhou spacecraft simulation, and Future Driving. The museum’s two distinctive theaters—the Digital Dome Theater and the 4D Dynamic Theater—are very popular with visitors.

At the same time, on the first floor of the Science Exhibition Hall, there are some exhibits showcasing the local characteristics of Wujiang. These include “Dialogue with the Ancients,” “Footprints of Early Settlers,” “A Walk in the Rain,” “Poetic Embroidery of Wujiang,” “The Style of Wujiang Academicians,” “Silkworm and Mulberry Residence,” “Brocade Garden,” “Virtual Aerial Tour of Wujiang,” “Virtual Boat Ride Along Tongli Ancient Bridges,” and “Wujiang Panoramic Map.” The public can gain an intuitive and vivid understanding of Wujiang’s development history through these exhibits.

The Training Department has a total of 61 specialized classrooms, divided into four zones: Calligraphy and Painting, Cultural Training, Music and Dance, and Sports. Each zone is equipped with professional hardware and cultural decor. It also boasts a top-tier teaching staff, currently including five full-time teachers who are well-known in Suzhou and even Jiangsu Province. Establishing the Science and Culture Activity Center plays an important role in promoting the development of Wujiang’s science, economy, culture, and education, and in building a harmonious Wujiang.
