On the domestic lineup of the Tang Stage,Xie Tianxiao,Tong Young, Sound Toy, Distorted Machine, Life is Pie, Reflector, and Zuoyou — thesebands thatgrew out ofthe Midisceneare naturally indispensable;Renowned Chinese bassist Zhang Ling and Zhao Wei Zhi Xingzhe, formed by the former soul members of the band Lun Hui, have also witnessed nearly30decades of development in Chinese rock music since the last century;The highly popular and down-to-earth folk singer-songwriter Wan Xiaoli,the most internationally infused psychedelic electronic rock,NOVA HEART、from"The Sing My Song China" talent show,emerged victoriousasSu Zixu,&The Paramecia、Beijing’s atmospheric metal band Da Fan Tian,Beijing’sNew wave/Dance punkGang Xin, Beijing’s independent British-style band Penicillin, Xi’an’s post-punk bandThe Fuzz, Suzhou’s local post-rock band Elegant Latecomers,last year’s“Midi Weekend”band tour grant winnersNanjing’sSi V Tu Zhi You Bu Ji?/span>appeared on2016Taihu MidiFestival’sTangstage.on the stage.
This year’s Zhanguo Stage will collaborate with Flying Music Technology’s sub-brand “330Metal Music” to present an exciting lineup. The upcoming “Zhanguo *330Metal Music” stage will feature over twenty of the most representative metal bands from both China and abroad. The lineup includes outstanding bands from across the country spanning three generations—veterans, mid-career, and emerging artists. The musical styles are not only authentic but also diverse, making this year’s Midi Festival a grand showcase of China’s metal scene, offering fans a chance to witness the current state of metal music in the country. Led by veteran metal bands Chixi and Miankong, along with mainstays like Subversion,Mbands,Beijing melodic metal band Yu Yue,,as the China regionalMETAL BATTLEchampion, traveled to Germany to perform atRAGNAROCKandWACKEN, two major music festivals,Dream Spirit,which blends traditional Chinese musical elements with dark metal,the Grave Lake band,the thrash/speed metal band from Jinzhou, Liaoning,Judge, the representative female-fronted melodic metal band of southern ChinaMysterainXiao Yu,Shanghai’s veteran metalbandXue Jing,andblack metalbandEpitaph, Wuhan’s classic thrash metal band Skull Crusher, and the band Huo Yue,among many other metal acts, will all join in to support this highly significant “festival within a festival” for Chinese metal music. In addition, several renowned international bands will also be performing. Flyer’s participation with “330metal music” at Midi also demonstrates their commitment to continued collaboration with various music communities and their unwavering support for musical dreams.
Previously having performed on theKid’s Music stage, the duo band Double Dragon Brothershave now matured and grown more impressive,,and this time they will appear under the new nameBullets 'n Bananasof.Appearing on the Tang Stagein the lineup,,and alsowill headline as the model band on the Kid’s Fan Stageperformance.Another highly recommended Kid’s Fan band is Cheese Knights, a pop-rock group from Hangzhou. Although5the young musicians have an average age of just9, their passion and dedication to music rival that of any big-name rock band. In the2years since the band was formed, the little knights have performed at nearly30shows. As they grow older, their skills continue to improve, and their performances become more mature with increased experience.
