Former Residence Memorial Hall of Wang Shaoao

The Wang Shaoao Former Residence Memorial Hall is a Suzhou municipal cultural relics protection unit and a patriotic education base.

The Wang Shao’ao Memorial Hall is located at No. 35 Fuguan Street in Tongli Town. Originally named Liugeng Hall, the residence has three passageways—east, west, and middle—for entry and exit. It was where Wang Shao’ao, one of the founders of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, lived in his early years. The memorial hall, themed around promoting the spirit of Wang Shao’ao, recreates his glorious achievements during his lifetime through objects, paintings, and images.

The first floor of the memorial hall is a specialized exhibition area, displaying cultural relics, artifacts, photos, and texts related to Wang Shao’ao. The content is divided into twelve sections, showcasing his experiences during different historical periods. The second floor serves as an auxiliary exhibition space, introducing other historical relics in Tongli.
