The Taihu Pujianyuan Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Taihu Pujianyuan Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Qidu Town, Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province. It is built around the Taipu River Hub and the natural scenery of East Taihu Lake, classified as an urban river-lake type water conservancy scenic area, with a planned area of 14.7 square kilometers.

The scenic area features highly convenient transportation, a prominent geographical position, beautiful environment, pleasant climate, and rich resources. It includes engineering structures such as the Taihu Dike, Taipu Sluice, and Taipu River Pumping Station, all offering magnificent and majestic views. There are also numerous scattered lakes, crisscrossing rivers and canals, the vast expanse of Taihu Lake, and views of Dongshan and Xishan islands of Dongting—all breathtakingly beautiful. The area is steeped in historical and cultural significance: the renowned Sinologist Master Nan Huai-Chin founded the Taihu University here, which remains his primary residence and teaching base. Fei Xiaotong conducted research in Jiangcun near the scenic area, opening the world’s first window into Chinese rural life. Additionally, the area offers attractions such as the quaint Grin Village Park with exotic charm, Miaogang Water Street that captures the essence of a land of fish and rice, and wetland parks—each becoming a new highlight of local tourism.
