Jiangjiaqiao

Jiangjiaqiao, also known as Guangren Bridge.

It spans the Yanjialangxia and Lujia Dai West Market River. This beam-style stone bridge runs east-west. In the 13th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1748), local residents including Zhu Dongfa raised funds to rebuild it. Situated at the intersection of a T-shaped river junction and closely adjacent to residences, it creates a quintessential scene of the Jiangnan water townscape, often praised as a classic example of “small bridge, flowing water, and people’s homes.” In April 2001, the bridge was featured on a special stamp in the "Water Town Ancient Towns" series issued by China Post. In 2008, it was listed as a newly discovered cultural relic during the third national cultural relics survey and was designated for protection.
