Hengfu Hall

Hengfu Hall (No. 210, Xintian Street)

Located on Zhongchuan Road, north of the west exit of Mingqing Street. (Zhongchuan Road is situated at the eastern end of Xintian Di, with Hengfu Hall nearby to its north.) It consists of two parts: the Old Residence of the Ren Family and the New Residence of the Ren Family. The Old Residence, also known as the Northern Account House of the Ren Family, was built before the Tuisi Garden; the New Residence, also called the Southern Account House of the Ren Family, was renovated around the 9th year of the Republic of China. The building complex has an irregular layout with indistinct divisions into courtyards, and most structures face south, though some face east and west. Within the Northern Account House, there remains a three-story building measuring 14 meters in width and 13 meters in depth, with a gate tower located on the southern side of the courtyard in front of the building. The Southern Account House measures 19.89 meters in width and 9.25 meters in depth. In 2008, it was listed as a newly discovered cultural relic during the third national cultural relics survey and has since been placed under protection.
