Furu Hall

Furu Hall is located at the western end of Tongtai Lane on Zhuhangdai, near the southern exit of Jiayin Hall. The eastern part of the hall, known as the Old Residence, is ancestral property of the Xu family, while the western part (formerly the local government office) was renovated during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period and is referred to as the New Residence. Furu Hall is an ordinary old-style brick-and-wood structure building, currently comprising five courtyards, 50 rooms, and covering 1,133 square meters. The hall is relatively large in scale, with rather old buildings and a simple structure, lacking decorative gateways or carvings. It was listed as a newly discovered cultural relic during the third national survey of cultural relics in 2008 and has since been placed under protection.
