Weiqi Hall

Weiqi Hall (No. 59 Zhuhang Street) is situated on a raised foundation, facing south toward the river. Built in the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925) by Lü Jianqing, the founder of Guxiang Village Restaurant in Tongli, it consists of three sections with a total of 25 rooms covering an area of 331 square meters. The hall features exquisitely crafted gateways and brick-and-wood carvings, and is a well-preserved example of architecture from the Republican era. In 2008, it was listed as a newly discovered cultural relic during the third national survey of cultural relics and placed under protection.
