Yongning Pond Bridge

Also known as Jiangchi Bridge, it is located in Fucun Village, Taoyuan Town, Wujiang District, spanning a tributary of the Haocao Road Harbor. Constructed in the 26th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1900), it was designated as a Wujiang Cultural Relics Control Unit on July 29, 1994.

This is a beam-type three-arch stone bridge running from north to south. It has a total length of 25.7 meters, a width of 2.05 meters, and a span of 11.5 meters, with the central arch rising 3.5 meters high and spanning 6.3 meters. The pier walls incorporate bluestone, while the rest is built with granite. Each side of the bridge is inscribed with a couplet. The east-facing couplet reads: “Relying on the toil of farmers, the rugged path is made easy to cross; overlooking the villages near and far, the sounds of the market can be heard in the distance.” The west-facing couplet reads: “Sails drift in from the west, descending to the shores of Jiangya Pool; waters flow eastward, branching off through the midst of Haocao Road.”
