The Kṣitigarbha Spring Well at Xiaojiumyh Temple is a cultural relics protection unit of Suzhou City.

The Kṣitigarbha Spring Well at Xiaojiumyh Temple is located in Pingwang Town, Wujiang District, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

The wellhead is hexagonal, and the well is over 10 meters deep. During the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, Xiaojiumyh Temple underwent large-scale expansion, and the Kṣitigarbha Pavilion was constructed. Legend has it that the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva manifested in the sky, struck the ground with his staff, and a spring suddenly gushed forth. The water was sweet and delicious, and later generations named it the “Kṣitigarbha Spring Well.”
