The area boasts uniquely shaped peaks and rocks, a strong forest ambiance, and enchanting waterfalls, springs, and pools. Within the scenic area lies the distinctive Bianshugou (Flat Tree Valley), where decades-old poplar trees line the valley—each with unusually flat and round trunks, leaving behind an unsolved mystery. In the sweltering summer, stepping into Qingliang Gorge (Cool Gorge), you’ll find towering stone walls on both sides. Standing within the gorge, which is only about one meter wide, you’ll feel a cool breeze brush against your face, sending chills down your spine and instantly dispelling the summer heat. Nearby the mountaintop lies a health-promoting spring that remains full year-round, nourishing countless living beings.

The scenic area is home to wild chestnut trees, kiwi fruit trees, hawthorn trees, and apricot trees that are decades old, with ripe fruits ready for the picking. There are also dozens of varieties of medicinal herbs spread across the mountains, making it a natural botanical kingdom.

Xinchengzi Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Miyun County. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was established as Xinchengzi District, changed to a commune in 1958, and became a township in 1983. It is located in the northeastern part of the county. It borders Luoping County, Chengde County, and Xinglong County of Hebei Province to the north, east, and south, respectively, and is 50 kilometers from the county seat.
