Recently, it was learned from the Municipal Communist Youth League Committee that the first Beijing International Youth Camp, integrating outdoor camping, adventure sports, and outdoor safety and self-rescue education, will be established in Miyun. Initiated by the Municipal Communist Youth League Committee, the camp will begin trial operations in May this year, officially open in June, and subsequently set up additional camps in areas such as Mentougou and Fangshan.

Guo Wenjie, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Communist Youth League Committee, introduced that the main area of the Miyun camp is located at the China Travel Service RV Base in Gangzhongzhai Town, Hnan County, Miyun, covering an area of fifty acres. It is divided into three sections: activity zone, camping zone, and service zone. The on-site experience programs include comprehensive experiences and instruction in various outdoor sports such as orienteering and wilderness survival, outdoor safety and self-rescue education, team development training, live combat game training, and more.

The operation of the Beijing International Youth Camp will adopt a “social enterprise” model. Although it will operate through commercial means, it is required that its profits be primarily reinvested in expanding related public welfare initiatives. According to the agreement, no profits will be distributed in the first two years of camp operation—20% of the profits will go toward public welfare projects in Miyun, and another 20% will be donated to the Beijing Youth Development Foundation for youth public welfare efforts across the city. Starting from the third year, profit distribution will be allowed but must not exceed 30%, and the proportion allocated to public welfare will remain unchanged.
