Jiujing Primitive Mountain Villa is located on the northern outskirts of Yangzhou, by the Shaobo Lake in Gongdao Town, and is the most important component of the northern ecological zone of Yangzhou. Not only does Jiujing Primitive Mountain Villa boast unique natural scenery, but it also has rich cultural heritage. Legend has it that Liu Zhiyuan, the founding emperor of the Later Han Dynasty, rose in arms in the Central Plains to establish his rule after the Khitan people destroyed the Jin Dynasty. Wishing to select an auspicious site to establish his capital, he passed by the north end of Yongfeng Town (the current location of the villa) and discovered that the area was blessed with outstanding people and a beautiful landscape, featuring convenient land and water transportation, dense population, bustling markets, and undulating loess mounds resembling a dragon raising its head. Liu counted a total of “nine dragons gazing at each other,” momentarily losing himself in the sight. After years of oral transmission, the place came to be known as “Jiujingtou.”

The villa includes eight major areas: an ecological wetland reserve, a pristine forest zone, a seasonal fruit and vegetable farming area, various animal breeding zones, a natural wildlife observation area, a primitive farmstead experience area, an adventure hunting zone, a fishing area, and a modern fashionable leisure zone. Guests can explore the grounds alone or invite a few close friends to visit together. They can also choose to stay for a few days, enjoying both the beautiful scenery of the villa and the pure natural cuisine produced on the estate.
