Longdi Spring Willow

“Longdi Spring Willow” is one of the Twenty-Four Scenic Spots of Yangzhou. It is a long dike stretching from the entrance of Slender West Lake to Little Golden Hill, lined with blooming peach trees and weeping willows. In the enchanting season, the swaying willows set off a riot of colorful blossoms, brilliant as embroidered brocade, captivating all who pass. At the end of the dike lies a round arched gate inscribed with the characters “Xu Garden.” Inside the gate is a pool of clear water, covered with lotus flowers, surrounded by various intricately shaped rocks, and graced by several green willows dancing in the breeze, creating a delightful scene. The main hall in the garden is called “Tingli Pavilion,” exquisitely constructed and elegantly furnished. Its front features redwood paneling resembling a screen, with each panel adorned with five pieces of Qing Dynasty landscape porcelain paintings, covered with glass, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.
