It connects from north to south with attractions such as “Tranquil Fragrance Study,” “Twenty-Four Bridges,” “White Pagoda in Sunny Clouds,” and “Five-Pavilion Bridge,” forming an unbroken lakeside scenic line where “flowers and willows on both banks lean on the water, and pavilions and towers stretch all the way to the mountains.” The “Records of Yangzhou Painted Pleasure Boats” describes the scenic beauty of “Stone Wall Cascading Streams” as follows: “Stone Wall Cascading Streams” is celebrated for its water and rocks. In this garden, skillfully arranged strange rocks form peaks, and spring water pools up before gushing down from steep cliffs and crags, creating emerald pools and crimson eddies — this is the wonder of “Stone Wall Cascading Streams.” … Like fresh bamboo shoots shedding their sheaths, or like a long white silk ribbon hanging in midair, the streams drape along the banks and wind through the creeks, splitting moss-covered stones, splashing with a soft yet forceful energy that brings the lake water to life — hence the name “Cascading Streams.” “Cascading” refers to the convergence of multiple streams surging forth, with rushing rapids and layered splashes, spraying like thunder and wind, flowing in from all directions.
