Yangzhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism attraction.

Yangzhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Wansong Ridge in the Shugang-Slender West Lake National Scenic Area in the northern part of Yangzhou, covering an area of 80 mu.

The cemetery was first built in 1954, expanded in 1997, and renovated in 2005.

The martyrs' cemetery features commemorative structures including an entrance archway, memorial square, martyrs' poetry stele, martyrs' memorial monument, martyrs' tomb area, and martyrs' deeds exhibition hall. The entrance archway is simple and elegant, inscribed with eight golden characters “Yangzhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery” personally written by Comrade [Name]. On both sides of the assembly square are six stele walls engraved with poems by nationally renowned martyrs. The memorial square covers an area of 5,000 square meters and can accommodate 5,000 people for memorial activities at one time. Eight stone-carved wreaths, each with a diameter of 4.5 meters, are embedded on both sides of the square. The martyrs' memorial monument presents a majestic and solemn style. The front side of the monument bears the powerful handwriting of Comrade Mao Zedong: “Eternal Glory to Those Who Died for the Nation.” The reverse side is inscribed with a eulogy composed in the name of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government.

The martyrs' tomb area is located to the north of the memorial monument. Bright red granite tombstones are arranged along the slope, resting quietly within lush grass, symbolizing the undying spirit of the martyrs and their eternal unity with the earth. The Revolutionary Martyrs' Deeds Exhibition Hall has a construction area of 2,500 square meters and displays the life stories and struggle histories of over 100 martyrs from the revolutionary period, including Xiong Chengji, a pioneer of the 1911 Revolution; Zeng Yuliang, one of the leaders of the “February 7th” Strike; Cao Qimou, the first County Party Secretary of the CPC in Yangzhou; [Name], a hero of the [Event]; [Name], a martyr of the [Event]; [Name], a martyr of the [Event]; and others.

In 2008, it was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government as a Key Provincial Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit. In March 2009, it was approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as a National Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit.

Xiong Chengji (1887–1910), also known as Chengji, with the courtesy names Weigen or Weigeng, was a native of Yangzhou and a martyr of the Tongmenghui. In his youth, he loved reading military texts and discussing strategy, admiring Yue Fei and Shi Kefa, and aspired to achieve great deeds and serve the nation. In the summer of 1904 (the 30th year of the Guangxu reign), he was admitted to the Anhui Training Army Military Preparatory School. During his studies, he read books such as "Awakening Call," "Revolutionary Army," and "Alarm Bell for the World," and successively joined revolutionary groups such as the “Classmates’ Association” and “Yuewanghui” advocated by [Name] and Bai Wenwei. Zeng Yuliang (1886 – February 7, 1923), of Han ethnicity, was from Hanjiang (now Hanjiang District, Yangzhou), Jiangsu Province. He was a revolutionary veteran and a renowned martyr of the “February 7th” Incident.

He was born on March 25, 1886, in Hehua Village (formerly Zengzhuang), Huaiqi Town, Hanjiang District.

In his youth, Zeng Yuliang came from a poor family and made a living as a tenant farmer and fisherman during his teenage years. In 1906, he worked at the Hanyang Arsenal in Hubei Province.
