Based on some of the tombs that have been archaeologically excavated and a collection of exquisite artifacts unearthed — such as the Eastern Han bronze caliper, which is the only one among the three known bronze calipers in China to have been excavated from underground — these findings confirm the manufacturing period of the bronze caliper. They provide valuable evidence for the study of ancient Chinese scientific and artistic history, mathematics, and the history of weights and measures, as well as reliable physical materials for researching the early history of Yangzhou during the Han Dynasty, making them of great significance.
