The Hongqiao Fang Leisure & Culture Plaza at Slender West Lake is located on the north side of Dahuangqiao Road, west of Youyi Road, adjacent to Slender West Lake to the west, and about 900 meters from the Wenchang commercial district. Situated in a core business area with unique cultural resources, the project covers an area of 4.85 hectares, with a total construction area of 52,728 square meters, including two floors above ground, with partial three-story sections, for a total above-ground floor area of 25,395 square meters, and two underground floors, for a total underground floor area of 27,333 square meters. The plaza features enclosed-style traditional Chinese-style architecture.

The plaza is positioned as a cultural leisure and specialty street area of Slender West Lake, centered around historical and cultural themes. It integrates dining, leisure and entertainment, retail, exhibitions, and performances into a one-stop, all-day, modern and fashionable leisure commercial district. The plaza caters primarily to local consumers while also serving tourists. Currently, the recruitment of high-end domestic and international dining brands, leisure and entertainment projects, century-old local brands, and cultural experience programs is progressing smoothly. Flagship stores such as Starbucks Coffee, Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream, Hong Kong’s Maxim’s Desserts, Beijing’s Quanjude, Tsui Fung Hong Cantonese Restaurant, Cat’s Sky Bookstore, and Xie Fuchun have all successfully settled in. A number of trendy dining and entertainment brands, including s.muse Bar, Toronto Seafood Buffet, Yechun, Donglaishun, Korea House, and Oriental Luxury Foot Spa, have also moved in. Once completed, the plaza district will become a landmark commercial project in Yangzhou that combines tourism consumption with urban consumption, truly serving as the “old Yangzhou photo negative and new city living room.”

Hongqiao Fang is connected to the “Hongqiao Poetry Gathering,” a scenic spot where Wang Shizhen of the Qing Dynasty held poetry and wine gatherings. After planning and renovation, the area now boasts open terrain, beautiful scenery, and deep cultural significance, making it an ideal place for public leisure activities. In addition, large ancient iron cauldrons, traditionally believed to have been used for water control during the Xiao and Liang periods and scattered across Yangzhou, have been gathered and displayed in the plaza.
