Wuxi Tang City Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Covering an area of 170 acres, Tang City is the earliest-built imitation Tang-style scenic area. Within the city, attractions such as the Aloeswood Pavilion, the Tang Palace Hall, and the Lishan Heights Pavilion are resplendent in color. At the entrance of “Great Tang Street,” colorful banners flutter, while on the “Performance Stage,” dancers in flowing robes perform graceful dances. The entire city is imbued with a rich Tang Dynasty ambiance, recreating the prosperous splendor of the Tang golden age. Water Margin City covers 580 acres and features a wealth of attractions, serving as a microcosm of Song Dynasty life from the imperial court to everyday street culture. It vividly portrays the lifestyles of various social classes during the Song era, and its live performances of Water Margin stories are remarkably lifelike, making visitors feel as if they’ve stepped back in time to Liangshan Marsh. Three Kingdoms City is currently the largest scenic area within the Taihu Film and Television City, built by China Central Television for the TV series “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” It spans over 500 acres and includes dozens of large-scale attractions such as the “Palace of the King of Wu” and the “Seven-Star Altar.” The site offers ten interactive film tourism experiences including “Liu Bei’s Marriage Proposal,” “Borrowing Arrows with Straw Boats,” a horse-riding field, and a lakeside bathing beach. Together with Tang City, Three Kingdoms City, Water Margin City, and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom City, these four areas form a film and television tourism base that combines filmmaking and cultural tourism. The base has hosted over a hundred domestic and international film and television productions, including “Romance of the Three Kingdoms,” “The Shining World,” “Palace of Desire,” and “The Smiling, Proud Wanderer.” Transportation: Accessible via Bus No. 82.
