Wuxi Jincheng Bay Park

Jincheng Bay Park is located on the west side of Gonghu Avenue, between Jincheng Road and Jinshi Road, covering a total area of 385,000 square meters. Through land reversion from farming to lake and river channel regulation, water from Lake Li is channeled into the urban area, bringing the lake closer to the city.

The completed and open entrance plaza of Jincheng Bay Park features dozens of fountains gushing from the ground of a circular open-air dance floor, where happy children play joyfully. The undulating lakeshore is covered with lush green trees, and a rustic wooden boardwalk extends into the lake. Boats glide across the water, presenting a classic Jiangnan water town scene of “people walking on bridges, boats sailing on water.” Carefully designed zones such as the Entrance Plaza Area, Romantic Flower Slope Area, Colorful Lakeside Area, Lake Li Water Villa Area, and Ecological Wetland Area have created a new “eastern gateway” to the Lake Li scenic area, making it more convenient for residents to get close to and enjoy nature.

With the completion and opening of Jincheng Bay Park, the entire 38-kilometer shoreline of the Lake Li scenic area has been fully connected, marking the successful conclusion of a decade-long comprehensive environmental improvement project in the Lake Li region. This has greatly expanded the city’s leisure space, establishing Lake Li as the largest open scenic area in East China, allowing both residents and tourists to stroll through real mountains and waters while enjoying the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding landscape.
