Wuxi Baojie Park

Baojie Park is built along Baojie Bridge, covering a total area of 28 hectares. It faces Liyuan Garden and Li Lake Garden across the lake and is adjacent to Wuxi’s famous Turtle Head Isle Scenic Area. It is another great spot in Wuxi’s Li Lake Scenic Belt to enjoy the landscape and reconnect with nature. Shanshui East Road divides the park into two parts—the mountainous side is Baojie Mountain Forest Park, while the lakeside section borders Changguangxi Wetland Park.

Baojie Park features Wuxi’s largest waterside stage. The stage is fan-shaped, extending outward from the performance area. The stage and audience seating are separated by 30 meters of Li Lake water. In later expansion projects, a 300-square-meter LED screen was added, along with imported sound and lighting equipment. There is also seating for 3,000 spectators, now enhanced with shading and rainproof membrane canopies. Sitting in the stands, audiences can comfortably enjoy performances on the lake stage and experience a brand-new, stunning audiovisual spectacle. Not far from the waterside stage stands a uniquely shaped sculpture—three small figures holding a large water droplet. The spiral base is inscribed with rows of text documenting the completion dates of various scenic spots in the Li Lake area. Nearby is a giant fan-shaped “Grace Platform,” which depicts Wuxi’s achievements in managing and restoring Li Lake.

A prominent line of large characters on the park wall reads: “We are polishing Li Lake, this pearl, to let the world admire its brilliance.” This message vividly expresses the deep affection of the people of Wuxi for their love and protection of Li Lake.
