Lihu Bridge Park

Lihu Bridge Park is located at the southern end of Lihu Bridge, forming a strategic corner with Lihu Park. To the south, it is backed by Shitang and Junzhang Mountain, while to the north lies the vast expanse of Lihu Lake. The southeast corner is home to the “Taihu Art Center,” and it neighbors Venice Garden to the southwest. The bridge park is arguably the best spot to view the landscapes of Lihu Lake. From here, looking north, you can see Shiji Island up close and gaze into the distance at Lihu New Town, as well as enjoy the night view of the Ferris wheel on the water; to the south, you can watch the rise of Taihu New Town; to the east, you’ll soon be able to see the landmark Taihu Art Center; and in the middle, you can admire the majestic span of Lihu Bridge connecting north and south.

The park is divided into two parts: an ecological area and a lakeside green corridor. The ecological area is situated on the southern slope near Lihu Bridge and features sports and fitness facilities, including basketball, badminton, tennis courts, and a waterside platform. The lakeside green corridor is a 50-meter-wide, 950-meter-long landscaped embankment on the lake surface north of Taihu Shijia and Venice Garden. It is equipped with rest shelters, scenic pavilions, and waterside platforms.

The park is lush with flowers and trees, featuring serene winding paths and naturally formed waterfront shorelines. It includes recreational spots such as an art creation center, viewing platforms, a water bus dock, and pavilions. At night, the brightly lit Lihu Bridge resembles a galaxy pouring onto the earth, and when you look out at the misty moonlight over Shiji Village, your imagination will run wild. During festivals, the fireworks over the lake make it an even more enchanting place to linger.
