Sacred Mountain Scenic Area – Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince

-- The Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince is located in the square of the Grand Buddha at Sacred Mountain, and is the largest musical dynamic bronze sculpture group in China, depicting the birth story of Sakyamuni.

-- This is a major attraction in the Sacred Mountain Scenic Area. Accompanied by music, the lotus petals open and close, and the Prince Buddha slowly rises from within, spinning once in the water curtain formed by the nine dragons spraying water.

-- The Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince performance takes place five times a day. After the show, water considered to be blessed spurts from the dragon mouths around the square, which visitors can take home.

-- During the performance, there are usually many visitors. Those who want to watch the Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince performance are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot. Please note that if the wind is particularly strong, the water spray may splash onto you.

Transportation

Located within the Sacred Mountain Grand Buddha Scenic Area, access is as follows:

1. Take bus 88 from Wuxi Railway Station and get off at Bibo Mountain Villa Station. The ride takes about 2.5 hours. After getting off, walk about 300 meters to reach the Sacred Mountain Scenic Area, then walk to the Sacred Mountain Grand Palace.

2. Take bus 89 from Wuxi Central Station and get off at Bibo Mountain Villa Station. The ride takes about 2.5 hours. After getting off, walk about 300 meters to reach the Sacred Mountain Scenic Area, then walk to the Sacred Mountain Grand Palace.
