The Da Fu Qin Family Tomb Cluster
The Da Fu Qin Family Tomb Cluster is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangsu Province.
The Qin Family Tomb Cluster is locally known as "Qin's Big Tomb." It includes the tomb of Qin Gou from the Song Dynasty and the tombs of Qin Han and his son Qin Liang from the Ming Dynasty. Most of the main sacrificial structures were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Inside the funeral hall on the northern side of the tomb area, there is a wall stele that identifies this location as the ancestral burial ground of the Qin family. The tomb of Qin Gou is situated on the southern slope, enclosed by a garden wall built from yellow stone, which features an outer rampart and a burial mound. The tombs of Qin Han and Qin Liang have adjacent burial mounds, each surrounded by an outer rampart with a diameter of 15 meters, constructed from bluestone. In front of the tombs are stele pavilions. Some local elements such as stele-bearing stones, pavilion bases, and rooftop stones still remain. In front of the pavilions are the remnants of a stone memorial archway, broken pillars, and a pair of stone horses. In 2006, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province designated it as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangsu Province.
