Zhenjiang Revolutionary History Museum

The Zhenjiang Revolutionary History Museum is a classic red tourism destination.

Established in June 1991, the Zhenjiang Revolutionary History Museum is a museum that reflects the local modern and contemporary history. Currently, the museum covers an area of 2,600 square meters and houses a collection of over 3,500 cultural relics, historical materials, and photographs (volumes), featuring the exhibition “The History of Zhenjiang’s Revolutionary Struggles.”

The museum is tasked with the investigation, collection, and research of modern and contemporary cultural relics and historical materials within the Zhenjiang area. It hosts exhibitions that depict Zhenjiang’s local history during three key periods: the Old Democratic Revolution, the New Democratic Revolution, and the Socialist Revolution and Construction. These displays showcase the rich experiences and historical lessons of China’s democratic revolution, socialist revolution, and construction, elucidate the great significance of the leadership of the Communist Party of China in achieving revolutionary victory, and provide revolutionary tradition education, socialist education, as well as education on “two histories and one condition” (the history of the Party, the history of New China, and the national conditions) to Party members, cadres, the general public, and youths.

In 2001, the museum’s special exhibition hall established the “Mao Yisheng Life and Achievements Exhibition Hall.”
