Introduction

White Snake Love Culture Park is situated within the Jinshan Lake Scenic Area, located in the northwest of the city center. The site was originally a silted pond around Jinshan. Through the process of converting fish farms back to lake areas and as part of Zhenjiang’s water management initiative, ecological restoration of the lake environment was undertaken, creating this new scenic destination.

The cultural park covers an area of 108 hectares, with 68 hectares of water surface. It is divided into four scenic zones: west of the lake, middle of the lake, east of the lake, and north of the lake. The peach-blossomed and willow-lined White Island in the lake, Xu’s Dyke, and the connecting bridges link the landscapes of the west and east sides of the lake, forming a love-themed cultural tour area where scenery carries culture and culture embodies soul. The park recreates the love story of the White Snake and Xu Xian, highlighting themes of gratitude and affection, miraculous healing, and eternal devotion.
