Ancient Yellow River Forest Park is located in the Ancient Yellow River Scenic Belt. The park features an 80-kilometer stretch of the Ancient Yellow River, covering a total area of 1,660 hectares, including 1,080 hectares of forested land — a forest coverage rate of 65%. The water area spans 385 hectares, with a year-round water level of around 2.5 meters. There are nearly a hundred ponds and small lakes of various sizes scattered throughout the park. The main landscape highlights include the Yellow River Park, Riverside Park, Water Scenery Garden, and Eco Park. The design of the park emphasizes the protection and utilization of existing forest and water resources, showcasing natural landscapes such as forests and bodies of water. It highlights the integration of people, scenery, culture, and the urban environment, adheres to high standards and ambitious planning, and incorporates the city’s historical civilization into the garden design. The goal is to create distinctive green spaces with unique horticultural features.

The park square is primarily covered with lush green grass, accented by fragrant trees and flowers, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. A pair of pavilions form the "head," connected by a winding arched bridge that stretches out like a reclining dragon.

The river’s central mother-and-child islands, linked by a bamboo bridge, are home to standing "cranes" and grouped "deer" nestled closely together in affection. Boats glide across the water surface like fish swimming freely, offering a dynamic and delightful experience. The Riverside Park on the west side of Huanghe Road is also an important part of the Ancient Yellow River Scenic Belt. The twelve zodiac stone statues in the park are vividly crafted, while the colorful fountain sprays rainbows into the air. At night, the park’s lights illuminate the area, where people come to relax and enjoy leisure activities. Some sing passionately on the performance stage; others stroll and chat within the park; children laugh and chase each other; couples share heartfelt moments by the waters of the Yellow River, beneath the weeping willows. On the east side of Huanghe Road stand Suqian Middle School and the Suqian People's Hospital, extending toward Suqian College — the city’s higher education institution and a source of its future momentum and hope.
