China Poplar Museum

The China Poplar Museum is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

Situated in Siyang County, known as the "Hometown of Poplars" in China, the China Poplar Museum spans 62 acres. Opened in 2007, it is the world’s only cultural exhibition center focused on poplars and is currently a national AAAA-level tourist attraction as well as a wedding photography destination in the Plain Forest Sea. Based on the philosophy of building a "green, open comprehensive exhibition center," the museum has planned and constructed a main exhibition hall, tissue culture lab, intelligent greenhouse, poplar variety garden, and visitor reception center. Currently, the main hall houses nine exhibition rooms that collectively showcase the unique charm of poplar development, related products, and cultural artworks. As the main venue for three editions of the China Poplar Festival and Poplar Industry Expo, as well as one of the two venues for the 23rd International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) Congress, the China Poplar Museum has received high praise from domestic and international visitors for its distinctive cultural appeal and its special status in the global history of poplar development. In 2008, James Karl, Secretary of the 23rd International Poplar Conference, wrote during his visit to the museum: "Siyang is the capital of poplar cultivation in the world. The China Poplar Museum is not only China’s first poplar museum but also the world’s first. The China Poplar Museum and the Poplar Festival play an extremely important role in spreading knowledge about poplars and enriching people's lives."
