Siyang Botanical Garden is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Siyang South City Botanical Garden (National AAA-level)

Also known as the 33.8° Urban Ecological Lounge, it is located on the south bank of the Old Course of the Yellow River in Siyang. Relying on forest, farmland, and landscape resources, it organically connects historical and cultural imprints, the Ancient Yellow River Scenic Belt, and agricultural leisure tourism. The planned construction includes four major functional areas: the ecological culture zone, the ecological zone, the ecological agriculture zone, and the ecological suburban zone. The core area covers an area of 500 mu. Based on the climatic characteristics of the latitude 33.8° temperature zone, over 420 species of plants have been introduced and cultivated, including osmanthus, ginkgo, magnolia, koelreuteria, and Celtis sinensis. It houses the “Hometown Sages & Nostalgia” Museum, offering multiple functions such as science education, leisure fitness, cultural heritage, and nostalgia recall. The outdoor “Village Entrance Memory” themed exhibition garden, themed around rural sentiment, recreates farming scenes through elements such as cultivated fields, fishing, rice planting, and thatched cottages, evoking memories of traditional flavors and local culture. The Hometown Sages Museum consists of sections on Siyang’s good people and contemporary sages, focusing on showcasing the advanced deeds of a hundred local sages. By recognizing, praising, and learning from these exemplary figures, it aims to pass on their spirit of bravery, virtue, filial piety, and respect for the elderly. It serves as an important educational base for promoting traditional virtues and cultivating new social values throughout the county.

The scenic area was rated as a National AAA-level Tourist Attraction in 2017. In 2018, the scenic area will complete the construction and exhibition setup of the Nostalgia Museum and the Visitor Center, finish the development of the Latitude 33.8° Landscape, enhance promotional efforts, and host thematic festival events to further increase the botanical garden’s appeal.
