Chongming Island Dairy Cattle Science Museum

The Dairy Cattle Science Museum serves as a base for science education.

The museum has a construction area of 2,500 square meters. The surrounding environment is beautiful, with fresh air, and the indoor exhibition area covers 2,000 square meters. It also includes a Cattle Square and an outdoor science activity space of around 2,000 square meters, along with auxiliary exhibition areas such as a robot milking viewing zone, rotary milking viewing zone, and milk storage room. The museum interprets new concepts in dairy farming and dairy processing through cutting-edge science and technology, taking visitors on a knowledge corridor of dairy farming and dairy production via sound, light, and electric displays. It also uses films, 3D simulations, Flash animations, and interactive elements such as quizzes and games to promote safe milk production and healthy dairy consumption.

The entire museum is highly scientific, educational, and interactive. While its primary focus is on science education, it also provides historical and comprehensive information about the development of Shanghai’s dairy cattle industry across different historical periods, various feeding methods at different stages of cattle growth, and general knowledge about cow's milk.

Take Metro Line 1 to Wenshui Road Station, transfer to Shen-Chong Line 3 (Shen-Chong Line 3 Interval) to Baotown, then take the Baosheng Line to the Yangtze River Farm Headquarters.

Take Metro Line 1 to Wenshui Road Station, transfer to Shen-Chong Line 3 to Nanting, then take the Nanjiang Special Line to the Yangtze River Farm Headquarters.

Take Metro Line 3 or Line 6 to Jufeng Road Station, transfer to Shen-Chong Line 6 to Nanting, then take the Nanjiang Special Line to the Yangtze River Farm Headquarters.
