World Estuarine Shoal Water Culture Exhibition Hall

The World Estuarine Shoal Water Culture Exhibition Hall is part of the Chongming Island National Geopark and serves as an integrated venue for science education and tourism experiences. The exhibition hall features eight display zones that showcase the geology, landscapes, economic culture, and local customs of typical estuarine shoals around the world. These zones also recreate the developmental and evolutionary history of Chongming Island, along with its geomorphological landscapes, as well as ecological scenes of vegetation and birds, offering visitors a vivid understanding of human river civilizations. In addition, the exhibition hall includes multimedia interactive areas to help guests gain deeper insights into water culture.

The World Estuarine Shoal Water Culture Exhibition Hall has a 38-meter-high sightseeing platform, making it a great spot for enjoying panoramic views. From the observation tower, you can get a close-up view of the rural scenery of Lühua Town, and gaze out at the vast Yangtze River and the full expanse of western Chongming Island. On clear days and at suitable times, you may also have the chance to admire the sunset glow and evening fishing boats, adding a special charm to your visit.
