Shanghai Sheshan Yueyuanyuan Art Park has now become the newest comprehensive art park within the Sheshan Resort area, integrating modern sculpture art, modern architectural art, natural and cultural landscapes, and high-end leisure facilities.

With the concept of "protecting nature and creating culture," the park takes advantage of the mountain forest and Yuehu (Moon Lake) to create functional themed landscape areas symbolizing spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It also features public leisure and entertainment venues such as a visitor service center, a children's intelligent activity plaza, Yueyuanyuan Wedding Gallery, Riyue No.1, and Qiuyue Fang.

The park houses over 20 modern sculptures created by master sculptors from more than 10 countries including the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, and Japan. These works span various sculptural forms such as stone carving, pottery, and bronze casting, perfectly complementing the surrounding mountain and water scenery.

The art park is a theme park that integrates creation, cultivation, and appreciation, offering the public a new space to connect with and be inspired by art. The overall landscape design is based on the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—dividing the park into four relatively independent zones. Each zone showcases distinct natural scenery through different vegetation and architectural styles.

Spring Zone: As visitors enter the park, they are greeted by the warmth and ambiance of spring. The zone features leisure service points that embody the spirit of spring, including a visitor service center, a waterside stage, the Crystal Palace, and an observation platform.

Summer Zone: Utilizing the natural advantage of Yuehu Lake and a man-made beach constructed with nearly 5,000 tons of yellow sand, the Summer Zone offers visitors the authentic feel of a summer beach. Towering along the lakeside are several large banyan trees, some reaching heights of 12 meters and diameters of over 1 meter, formed by a combination of real and artificial trees. These are another highlight of the park, with tree-top observation decks providing the best views of the park’s scenery.

Autumn Zone: The Autumn Zone primarily consists of the Wedding Gallery and Qiuyue Fang. The architectural concepts are unique, and the design techniques are distinctive. This zone delivers the mature and tranquil charm of autumn while also allowing visitors to enjoy the aesthetic beauty of landscapes that blend modern and natural elements, created by master artists.

Winter Zone: Located near Little Sheshan, the Winter Zone includes a lakeside pavilion and a comprehensive supporting facilities building. After the beauty of the previous three zones, the Winter Zone presents a different scene. Ancient plum trees by the shore bloom proudly in the winter snow, showcasing their exceptional grace and vitality during a season when most things wither.
