is the largest, most scenic, and most technologically advanced theme park in Shanghai and even across China, known for its dynamism, fashion, joy, and dreaminess. Covering an area of 90 hectares, the first phase of Shanghai Happy Valley, which opened in July 2009, spans 60 hectares. As China’s largest theme park, Shanghai Happy Valley will consist of seven major themed zones: Sunshine Harbor, Happy Times, Hurricane Bay, Gold Mine Town, Ant Kingdom, Shanghai Beach, and Shangri-La. It features over a hundred entertainment and sightseeing attractions, including 12 top-tier amusement rides. The park introduces a range of thrilling new projects and unique cultural performances, such as China’s first wooden roller coaster, completely weather-resistant; the world-class floorless dive coaster that launches riders 60 meters high before a vertical drop into water; a giant pendulum ride costing over 100 million RMB with a 240-degree rotation swing; a twin-tower space shot that shoots visitors skyward instantly; and China’s first double-cabin gyro drop ride simulating a 26-meter-high escape experience—among more than ten cutting-edge, high-tech amusement devices. In addition, the popular Maya Carnival and International Magic Festival will also be showcased at Shanghai Happy Valley. Riding China’s first majestic wooden roller coaster, flying through jungles, sharing wonders in the rainforest, boarding custom boats caught in stormy whirlpools in the bay, experiencing the thrill of speeding down 15-meter waves, and strolling through the old Shanghai of the 1920s and 1930s—these experiences set Shanghai Happy Valley apart from similar venues like Beijing Happy Valley.

Take bus routes Songjiang 19, Songjiang 33, or Songzhong Line directly to the park; alternatively, take Metro Line 9 to Sheshan Station, cross the street to the Happy Valley shuttle stop, and take the park’s shuttle bus
